Our little guy turned 13 months old yesterday! It seems like we just had his first birthday party and now a whole other month has passed. This past month has been so much fun because he finally decided that crawling is a much easier and faster way to get around than rolling. He loves being able to go from room to room, but thankfully he's pretty good about playing in the same room that we are in which makes it a little easier to watch him and his busy fingers.
You wouldn't know from this sweet smile, but this little guy is so strong willed! I should really count how many times he hears the word no in a day. It is so hard to get on to him because he is so funny when you do, but we are learning to just turn the other way as we laugh. :)
He still sleeps and eats like a champ. If we are at home he will usually take two naps, but he can function on one if we have something to do in the mornings. He eats whatever we eat, but his favorites this month have been tomatoes and cucumbers. He loves to play with his toys and plays pretty well by himself, but he definitely enjoys having someone play with him.
His new words this month are duck and night night. He tries to copy what we are saying so much now, but we can't always tell what it is he is trying to say. When he gets sleepy he will look up with this sweet face and say "night night." He loves his bedtime routine of bath, brushing his teeth, story time, hugs, and then bed.
