Yesterday was cow appreciation day at CFA. Brody was so excited about going and talked about it all morning. He repeated over and over "go to chick a lay, see cows." He was ready with his cute costume and pink painted nose. But...when we got there, they had balloons. Brody has a love/hate relationship with balloons. He calls them "mee-nose" (we have no idea why) and wants to play with them ALL the time. The problem is he doesn't understand why the ones with helium need to be tied to something. He wants to hold them on his own and then gets upset when he lets go and they float away. So, the day was a bit of a bust since he wouldn't eat and was too focused on his mee-no to play or do anything else. For the first time he didn't even want the cows to hold him! Either way we got a cute picture or two and then came home for him to eat his food here. At least it was free, right? :) Being a parent has definitely taught me that not everything goes as planned and that's okay!
