I love that we usually spend the 4th in our small town enjoying fun festivities. We start the day with a patriotic parade downtown.

Brody is really into firetrucks lately... last year he cried when they turned on the sirens, this year he was saying "more more."
We are getting ready to "Check Beck" this month as our friend Leslie's mom runs for tax commissioner. My dad got to drive her in the parade in his new toy.

Brody rode the last few yards with his Pops. He did not want to get out!
After breakfast at Cracker Barrel with my mom and dad, we headed to the park close to our house for the Stars and Stripes celebration. Brody loves horses so he was excited to ride this one!
Our neighborhood is on the top of a hill next to the park that our local fireworks are shot off from making it the perfect spot to watch with kids. You get the view minus the crowd and noise.
We grilled out hamburgers first and let the kids have free reign in the house and backyard until it was time for fireworks.
The girls love baby Camden!
And of course, there was kan jam....
