Spring Fever!

We had a great weekend full of warm weather here in the south.  It was just a taste as the rain is coming tonight along with cold temps for this upcoming week.  We made the best of it with a busy couple of days.  On Saturday, my parents came down and we went to the new house for my dad and Danny to measure for the backsplash- the first of many projects we want to do.  While they were busy, my mom and I headed to the neighborhood playground with Brody.  He got to swing for the first time and he loved it.  The funny thing is that he is laughing at his MiMi pushing the empty swing beside him; he thought it was hilarious!

We didn't get to go to church this morning because Danny didn't have a voice so he couldn't sing on praise team and Brody's teeth were bothering him before he went to bed last night.  So, we decided just to stay home.  We really missed being there and are already looking forward to mid week worship on Wednesday!  We spent part of the day looking for a refrigerator for the new house.  Brody rides in the cart like a big boy now and enjoys shopping much better!  He entertains everyone around him and I have to make sure not to park the cart next to anything within arm's reach or he grabs it.  My hands are going to be full as soon as he is mobile.  He already scoots around in circles, but he just can't figure out how to get his arms and legs going at the same time to crawl. After lots of shopping, we came home and played outside a little bit before going for a walk with Brody in his stroller- his favorite thing to do! He also loves to swing. 

Riley is coming to visit us on Monday for a sleepover so I'm sure Brody will love having another little boy to entertain him.  Hopefully, this will be the week we get a renter for our townhouse so we can get really excited about our quickly approaching closing date on the new house!!!!  I wish the warm weather could have stayed, but for now we will just look forward to spring and try to find things to do inside during the rain!
